Hey, I’m Mai.
I’m a massage therapist, avid yogi, lover of all things nature, and here to guide you towards the healthiest and happiest version of yourself.
My Approach
Complete Healing
I believe in the power of connecting the body and the mind. Healthy bodies and healthy minds go hand in hand. Every ache and pain is different but the most effective approach to wellness is to treat the system as a whole. I pride myself in taking the time to get to know each of my clients as best as possible. Knowing who you are, your relationship to your body, helps me understand what’s going on inside.
Eastern Meets Western
My style of bodywork attempts to combine the best of all worlds. My work blends the soft tissue manipulation of Swedish/oil massage with traditional Thai medicine inspired moves and energy direction. I use techniques pulled from each modality and aim them where they are most needed in the body. Depending on each individual client’s needs and expectations that day, sessions are customized to their needs.

Reach out and book a session! I do a thorough intake to ensure I meet your expectations. Whether you’re looking for chill vibes or to attack an issue, we can design a session that is right for you, right for that day. Sessions can be completely Thai, or completely deep tissue, or somewhere in the between. No two sessions, days, or clients are exactly the same.

Regular massage work is part of a well rounded, healthy lifestyle. Much like diet and exercise, it is important to incorporate into your routine. Massage increases circulation of blood and lymphatic fluid, which keeps both the heart and muscles fresh and healthy while bringing lubrication to muscle fibers and joints. This overall increase in flow affects how energy is able to move throughout your body, keeping it functioning at peak performance. (Think happily cruising in your car versus being stuck in frustrating traffic.)
Massage lowers your blood pressure, and decreases the production of stress hormones. Soft tissue manipulation also activates your parasympathetic nervous system, which balances your body from the usual “fight or flight” state. This is the stress and anxiety reduction we so desperately need from everyday life. Results can include better sleep, increased concentration and focus, better muscle control, and even a release of chronic muscle tension. More focused work also assists with muscle performance and recovery, increased joint mobility and flexibility, and decreases chance of injury.

For an in-home visit I ask clients to provide their own linens, two sheets (flat + fitted or 2 flats) and a pillowcase. We also need a quiet, open space like bedroom or living room. I come equipped with everything else!
For full Thai sessions, please wear loose fitting or stretchy clothes.
